East Lake District is located in the northeast of Nanchang which enjoys the honor of “ Heroic City".
It is the center of the provincial city with Fu River to the west and Gan River to the north. It has long
history and bears profound historical culture with four famous places, i.e. Tengwang Pavilion ---one
of the three famous pavilions in south China, Youming Temple --- an ancient temple, Shuiguanyin Kiosk
which was built in Tang Dynasty and Baihua Isle built in Song Dynasty. It governs an area of 18.35 km2
with 9 subdistrict offices and 1 Management office. It has a population of 426,000. The District
Government is located on Dieshan Road.
Nanchang is the provincial city of Jiangxi . It is located on the middle and lower reaches of Yangzi River and close to Poyang Lake which is the largest fresh lake in China. And it is an inland opening city and the only provincial city on Beijing-Kowloon Railway Line. Nanchang is one of the famous national historical and cultural cities. It enjoys the honor of “The Sacred Place Where the August 1 Army Flag Rose” and “ Heroic City”. It has beautiful environment with numerous lakes and rivers and has become a transfer hub of developed coastal regions' business and trade radiating the central hinterland and west of the country.
